A bucket brim or a neck cape?
Compare the structure around the head, not just the color.
Look around the whole outline
A bucket style usually places a brim around the crown. A neck-cape style combines a front brim with fabric extending toward the back. The AI concept images illustrate general styles; they do not show the actual named models or tested shade coverage.
Find the dimensions the maker actually publishes
Check brim and cape figures for the exact size. A range of lengths may mean the dimensions change with size. If the source gives no numerical dimensions, leave them unknown rather than estimating from a child model or product photograph.
Consider the actual setting
Review the maker’s instructions and check how the actual hat sits with the equipment and routine you use. A product description such as stroller-friendly is a manufacturer statement, not a demonstration that every stroller, position or child will have the same fit.
Keep sun care broader than the hat
A hat does not establish a complete sun-care plan. The FDA’s infant guidance discusses shade and suitable clothing alongside a brimmed hat. Consult the linked official guidance and your child’s clinician for individual questions; a shopping comparison cannot provide that advice.
