Measure & size · 4 minute read

“Small” is a label, not a measurement.

Read the model, chart and range together before comparing brands.

1

Start with the model name

A brand can sell infant, toddler and kids styles with different size choices. Record the exact product and its chart rather than applying one universal small or medium. The same color or silhouette can appear across different products without sharing the same range.

2

Notice how the chart is written

Some charts give a minimum and maximum; others show only a maximum or age category. These are different kinds of information. Our directory leaves the numerical range unverified when the accessible official source does not establish both ends. We do not create a lower bound from the previous size.

3

Read age as supporting information

Age labels are descriptive labels supplied by the manufacturer. They do not convert into a measured circumference. Even a brand’s general chart and a product graphic can use different age descriptions for the same named size. The finder uses the verified numeric range and sends you back to the exact source.

4

Keep overlapping results visible

At a shared endpoint, two ranges may include the same number. We show both instead of automatically selecting a larger or smaller size. Read the maker’s fit guidance and check the actual garment before making the final choice. A measurement alone cannot resolve every fit preference.
